We believe the quality of one's life is dependent upon the quality of their relationships with self and others, as well as finding purposeful ways to connect, engage, and make positive impacts in their community and society as a whole. We provide this opportunity through monthly meetings and an online social community.
If any of the following statements are true for you, the Tribe may be a good fit:
- I want to be a better man, husband, and/or father
- I feel stuck and could use support from trustworthy, non-judgmental people to get me moving again
- I feel there’s a better solution to life’s challenges than just “sucking it up and being a man”
- I just need to express my shit in a safe place and feel like people are listening
- I want to make a bigger impact in society
- I want to be part of something bigger than myself
- I want to support other men who might be struggling
- I want to have real, unfiltered, and deep conversations about things that matter
Side note: If any of the above apply and you happen to live in the Chicagoland area, consider exploring our local membership and meetings.
Get Support. Give Support. Provoke Your Thinking. Expand your Mind. Look Inward. Impact Outward. Be Challenged. Connect. Learn. Grow. Love. Live.
What we do?
We connect as a group in two main ways—once a month via video conference, Virtual Tribe Meetings, and regularly via our own online community platform, The Tribe Online Community.
The monthly meeting is the heart of Virtual Tribe. It's where we discuss impactful topics within the mission of the Tribe, and support each other on specific issues we may be challenged with at the time.
We use the online community to stay connected and keep the discussions going outside the meetings. Get involved as much as you need. The Tribe is here for you to lean on and connect at your convenience.
What should I expect at a meeting?
We have one virtual meeting per month for one hour. We all connect via a video conference platform called ZOOM using a computer or mobile device so we can see each other.
The facilitator will be co-founders Frank Naugo or Todd Adams; or another Tribe Member. All calls start with a check-in. The facilitator will ask each attendee on the call to say their name, where they are joining from as well as a quick “check-in” under the guidance of the facilitator. A check-in can be something as simple as name a feeling you are presently sitting with, or your favorite movie of all-time, or anything in between.
Once checked-in, the experience will be different depending on the type of meeting—a Discussion Meeting or Support Meeting ...
To discuss, learn, explore a certain topic that falls within the mission of the Tribe. This is led by a Tribe Facilitator where a previously chosen blog/video/podcast that fits within our mission is communicated to the group approximately one week before the date of the meeting.
To support one another with specific issue(s). This is led by a Tribe Facilitator and there is no specific topic; instead the men on the call will be invited to share, listen & support the other men with whatever they happen to be experiencing.
When are meetings?
Meetings take place once per month; typically on the first or second Wednesday of the month. Below are the upcoming scheduled meetings. Just click the meeting to open and then there's a button for you to RSVP. Once you RSVP, we will send you all the details you need to connect with us on meeting day!
Who are your members?
The Tribe is primarily made up of men between the ages 30 and 50 but we welcome all age groups. In fact, we seek a diversity of age groups to expand perspectives and viewpoints from various generations. We have over 25 members at the moment and expanding quicky with our new Virtual Tribe program which allows members to take advantage of our mission without having to live in the Chicagoland area. Meet a few of our members below!
What are members saying?
See what members are saying below. They are benefiting in huge ways by committing to the Tribe. Each of these guys hesitated when presented with the opportunity to unite with a bunch of other guys. This is not surprising. Society has discouraged men to lean on others or express their feelings. "Man up" is what we were taught. This is not the way it has to be or should be. Everyone needs a support system; a group they can trust and rely on to get through life's challenges. That's what this group is about. That's what these members took a chance at. Results? a positive difference in themselves and the world around them. Take a serious look, do something different, and take a chance. Join our next meeting. No obligation. No Risk. No requirement to engage.
How do I get started?
To get started, we recommend sitting in on an upcoming Virtual Tribe Meeting. It's free. There's no obligations. No requirement to engage. All we ask is that you introduce yourself and the rest of the time you can observe or jump right in to the conversation!
If you are not quite ready to join a meeting, we recommend joining our mailing list and our online community. As part of our mailing list, we will keep you up-to-date on what's happening with the Tribe. Joining our online community will give you the opportunity to start engaging with members, pick up insights or share insights of your own.
If you are ready to become a member, we have monthly and yearly subscription options. Just click the button below. We look forward to having you aboard!
