Virtual. Monthly. Open to All Men.

Separation Support

The Tribe is offering a free monthly virtual meeting to provide support for those touched by separation/divorce. Like any life challenge, a source of support can be knowing you’re not alone and there is a community of men with similar experiences and eager to help.  RSVP to a scheduled meeting or learn more below.

What to expect at a Meeting?

There is no fixed agenda at a Divorce/Separation Support meeting. Often times we will follow a rough guideline of ‘Bless/Listen/Counsel’, which allows each participant to ask for what they might need. We encourage men to share to the extent they’d like i.e. no one is forced to participate or share beyond what they’d like.

Ultimately what is important is that men feel supported along the process, wherever they may be, due to whatever circumstances.  Divorce and separation can be a lonely, painful, frustrating, sad, and angry state or process, one that doesn’t need to be traversed alone. The Tribe is here to support by gathering as a group with those who may have some commonality in terms of experience and feelings.

Discussion Meeting

To discuss, learn, explore a certain topic that falls within the mission of the Tribe. This is led by a Tribe Facilitator where a previously chosen blog/video/podcast that fits within our mission is communicated to the group approximately one week before the date of the meeting.

Support Meeting

To support one another with specific issue(s).  This is led by a Tribe Facilitator and there is no specific topic; instead the men on the call will be invited to share, listen & support the other men with whatever they happen to be experiencing.

Who is the meeting organizer, Mike Rosen?

Mike was born outside Philadelphia, though has resided the majority of his life in the Chicago area. He has been running competitively since the age of 12 and continues to run, ride, and practice yoga. He graduated from Loras College in 1993 and received his Masters in Education in 2012. Mike is the proud Dad of 3 young men and is happiest when they’re all laughing at something absurd.

Mike has been a member of the Tribe Men’s Group since its inception in 2012. Though initially hesitant to participate, the idea of a safe, supportive, forward-thinking group of men to help foster growth was enough to get him to go to the first meetings held in Todd’s living room. Since then, he’s been fortunate to consider members of the Tribe amongst his closest friends.

“At first I thought ‘Nah, I have it (life) figured out. I don’t need this’. But after a moment’s reflection I realized that usually the speed at which I dismiss an idea is likely the inverse of how much I need it.’ Since then I haven’t looked back and the experience, knowledge, support, and fun I’ve had with other members is immeasurable.

Jump on Board as a Member

Our vision is to live in a more harmonious world by deepening connections amongst men.

The Tribe was created in 2012 to create a community of men to give and get support from one another. I believe that when a man is connected to himself and other men that it has a ripple effect into his relationships, parenting, community, and beyond.

This is the foundation of what we do- create a space for men to connect with one another on a deeper level. So I invite you to jump on board and help us live in a more harmonious world - one man at a time.
